One Interview Down!

So we shot Brittany's interview last night. We thought it went well... the sound quality is good... the only problem was with the lighting... but we know what we need to do for next time.... we are just glad that we made progress. Anyways, she said some really great things that we can definitely use! We started out asking her to tell about herself and to tell us about the occurrence at Clear Run Apartments. She told her story from start to finish and once she said what she needed to say, Kristin started to ask her the questions that we had prepared prior to the interview. It was interesting to find out that Brittany knew Jessica Faulkner and Curtis Dixon and actually said something about it when we didnt even lead her in that direction. She didn't use their names though, but that is what she was referring to... and because she didn't use their names that's even better! Also, she stressed her concern for more lights around Clear Run apartments... just like I have stressed my concerns about peepholes at Holton Place. Just little things that can help make a difference, or atleast make residents feel more safe. Also, as she was describing the location of her old apartment... I was thinking about how perfectly this would go with the B-roll that we shot of the outside of her old apartment. We definitely made sure that we showed how her apartment was facing the woods with no lighting around.

Last night after the interview was all said and done... me and Kristin finally could finally laugh about our frustrations we had this past weekend. I think we kind of forgot that this is an investigative documentary.... and as females, we tend to stress out and lose it from time to time... otherwise, we wouldn't be normal. haha
